Was it pork? or Discovering deceptive food

Ham imitation, meat from glue, cheese analogs, mislabeled fish and meat products… The news is full of food scandals. The institutes for food control are busy checking food safety and the correct declaration of their ingredients.

Course is paid: 150 CZK/student (minimal number of participants is 12 scholars)

Popis

We will learn different ways of analyzing food and how to discover undeclared ingredients in various meat and dairy products using polymerase chain reaction and gel electrophoresis.

This course takes 5 hours.

Minimal number of participants is 12 students, maximal number is 30.
